He Leadeth Me

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
- Lamentations 3:22-24

God's faithfulness is astounding. During these past two years, Christ has been teaching me how to take from His hand, to trust Him where I could not see the end and to seek first His wonderful, glorious Kingdom. Christ will ALWAYS provide for His children. His ear is not too heavy that He cannot hear us when we cry, nor is His hand too short that it cannot save. The semester can so often be filled with trials and piles (of homework, that is), but if we just endure, and trust in Christ. He will work on our behalf, and do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think.

I have seen God work miracle after miracle these past two years. I have seen God turn a 69 in CPR into an A for His glory (angels marked my exam paper and there is no one that can convince me otherwise!) I have seen Him change a C into an A in the matter of minutes! I have personally experienced Christ speaking through me in class, because I was relying on Him to do my homework for me because as He had asked me to seek His work, first. And I just think, why would God do something like that for me? I'm not perfect. I'm not selfless. I still have so much to learn about prayer and saving souls, but the beautiful thing about my Father is that when He looks at me, He doesn't see me, He sees Jesus and the life that Jesus lived for me. Jesus lived, prayed and thought just for me!! Just for me! and for you! Christ is able to succour us, to give us that strength that we need. He is able to do those things that we cannot!

I have no idea what the next year will hold, I know that there will be trials and more piles but if God is for me, then, who cares who's against me!

Be still, my soul; thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

My words of encouragement are, simply: Seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness. If He calls you to miss a class to give a Bible study, then do it! Don't be afraid to work for Him because of homework or work, surrender it all to Him and trust while you work for Him, HE WILL WORK FOR YOU!

We have the BEST FRIEND in the universe, and His wonderful name is Jesus.
